Skilled Capital ACT: Certificate III in Screen and Media CUA31015</a>

I think in a weird way that the entertainment industry is strangely more brutally honest than any other.” - Donal Logue

We all know what a load of fun it is to work in the screen, media and entertainment industries. The people, the appreciation for art, the celebrities, and the ability to contribute to hugely successful and highly appreciative gigs and shows, just makes it an amazingly attractive industry to be in.

But on the ground, it’s also one of those industries where people with a diverse and broad range of skills are in constant high demand: the audio engineer who can rig lights, or the light operator who can assist in shooting video, or the roadie who can communicate effectively to venue stakeholders or audience members about safety, for example. Those individuals with a mix of skills and abilities are no doubt, in high demand for the immediate future of the entertainment industry.

So, whether you’re a recent school leaver, changing career paths or returning to work after a period of time-out and have a desire to work in the screen, media and entertainment industry, this foundation-level qualification is for you.

Let’s face it: Whether it’s Floriade, Summnats, or the Canberra International Music Festival, there’s a huge demand for individuals with screen and media skills to make these events a success.
