And that's a wrap!

And that's a wrap!

Reflecting on the year that’s been…

As 2019 comes to a close, it's time for a bit of reflection on what we've achieved over the past year, and to prognosticate on where we're heading in 2020.

Looking back:
2019 started with the completion of an internal training program for a communications agency.

It ended just this week with a showcase performance by students in our Create. Play. Drama Club.

In between, we did all manner of things, including:

We launched a volunteer program to help Bhutan's next generation of media professionals, simultaneously offering career development opportunities for program participants. This program gained attention and received applications from individuals from many parts of the world, with immensely positive results. We are proud to announce that as a result of our efforts promoting the volunteer program, the partner organisation in Bhutan has now launched the course, and has the support of individual trainers and educational institutes from around across the Asia-Pacific region.

Due to the success of this program, we also joined Australian Volunteers International as a partner to help source and place skilled media professionals interested in volunteering overseas.

We were then invited to support a production company to create an oversized prop as part of a promotional stunt for a national supermarket chain. Installed in a high profile location and leveraged through paid media, it garnered a lot of attention for the brand and the supermarket.

We’ve also commenced planning for the delivery of a leadership program in a remote Indigenous community. With program development ongoing, the course will kick off in 2020. We are super excited about this opportunity and can’t wait to see the results, and in particular the individual success stories that come as a result of it.

And finally, we've developed a partnership with another creative training organisation with intent to deliver a creative career pathways program for high school students with an interest in performing arts, events and live production. This exciting initiative is launching early 2020. Again, we can’t wait to see the results of this program.

Looking forward:
With the Indigenous leadership and career pathways programs in development for launch early 2020, we're already not just excited but busy too.

We'll also undoubtedly see many more students enrol in our BSB61015 Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management program - a fascinating course to help the next generation of arts and media industry business leaders help develop their careers. So look out for our course graduates!

And we'll continue to solidify our training development services for organisations seeking to uplift their operations.

Over the course of the year you’ll also find more compelling content, more opportunities, and more knowledge being shared on Spitball.

It's certainly a fine way to start a new year. And, it's certainly an even finer way to start a new decade!

Bring on 2020, and strap yourselves in!
