Teach journalism in Bhutan

Teach journalism in Bhutan

Take a step up in your career and help improve the quality of journalism in Bhutan.

Here at The Australian Academy of Media, we are proud to announce a partnership with the Bhutan Media and Communications Institute.

The program will see a number of Australian and New Zealand journalists and media professionals spend four short weeks in idyllic Bhutan, teaching journalism to students as part of a Diploma of Journalism course the students will be studying.

This is the first Diploma of its kind in Bhutan, and provides a viable option for Bhutanese students who wish to enter the media industry without having to undertake a university degree.

As a volunteer, you will enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime adventure and gain a career-shaping experience. You will also get an Adobe Creative Cloud license and access to Creative Cloud training, to help you capture your experience and create your own content while you’re there.

Nestled between India and Tibet on the ancient Silk Road, geographically north of Bangladesh and east of Nepal in the Eastern Himalayas, Bhutan is known for its distinct Buddhist cultural identity, fostered through hundreds of years of civil and cultural independence.

Take a step up in your career and help improve the quality of journalism in Bhutan.
